Our Cats

We really do love cats, we find we need to take on the care of a new cat permanently. We have eight of our own cats at the moment, here are their stories...

Bentley

Bentley is about 15 and joined our household six years ago, His owner put him with us while he was re-housed but sadly he was not allowed to take animals. Bentley is now very deaf but has a healthy appetite and insists on drinking from the tap. He also loves raw minced steak.

Biscuit

Biscuit is very old, very deaf and adorable. He was with us for three months while his owner was in hospital. Sadly, Biscuit’s owner died and the family were unable to look after him so we kept him. He loves raw minced steak and milk and although we think dementia is setting in he is very special. His owner obviously liked ginger biscuits and she must have loved him very much.

Daisy

Maisy and Daisy are sisters and were given to us by some friends in 2005. They decided to be house cats so although they are free to roam house and garden they prefer to sleep on various beds. They both love their food and make wonderful bed warmers!

Maisy

Maisy is a little bigger than Daisy as she loves her food and sleeps most of the day. Like Daisy, she is a great bed warmer! Daisy is slimmer than Maisy but also makes a great bed warmer.

Rambo

Rambo is about four years old and was being neglected following the arrival of twin girls so we persuaded his owner to let us look after him until the girls were older. He came to us just before Christmas five years ago and, as soon as he found the lounge, immediately climbed our Christmas Tree causing it to topple over (hence the name Rambo). However, as he is a bit of a wimp, his name is the source of great amusement!

Bobbie

We think Bobbie is about five years old. He was abandoned in a block of flats in High Brooms and loves our garden and open fire in the Oast House. He also loves his food so is quite chunky and makes an amazing lap warmer!

Lillie

Lillie was living in a back garden in Tonbridge in freezing weather for two weeks when a friend spotted her and asked if we could look after her. That was three years ago, and although Lillie is still very shy she has settled in very well.

Timmy

Timmy is our latest addition. We met Timmy two years ago, when his owner was getting very frail. We kept an eye on Timmy and his owner and ensured that Timmy was fed and given monthly worm and flea treatment. Sadly, Timmy’s owner died in October so we have him at home. We think he is about ten years old. He seems to have found his special place at the top of the house so hopefully he will settle soon.
